Copywriting and Design

Your triple bottom line won’t mean a thing without a plotline.

At Brave One we believe copy doesn’t end with the static copy on your landing page. The words you select to express your brand should always serve to start more words flowing. It’s impossible today for an organization to autonomously decide what words to associate with its brand. New words shape corporate reputations every day through ongoing conversations of stakeholders via word of mouth, social media and blogs. The words that define your brand are now a community decision. The New Consumer is not just paying attention to your brand’s story – they are helping to write it. At Brave One, we make certain this conversation gets off on the right foot and stays engaging, evolving, and positive. We do this by letting nothing stand in the way of a consumer’s view of your commitment, and through designing campaigns guaranteed to stand out in a frenetic, tweet-saturated world.

Our seasoned team of mission-driven designers makes certain your visual identity express your organization’s core values, while staying new and original in a space rife with cliche. Pictures of globes cupped by hands, leafs, or teardrops accompanied by a green font no longer cut it. Brave One’s designers work with you to craft a distinctive brand persona that appears original, honest, and stylish.

All written materials Brave One develops are overseen and approved by Principal Partner and Creative Director Jesse Mayhew.

Featured Copywriting and Design: The Combined Federal Campaign for the National Capital Area

The CFCNCA is the only authorized workplace charitable giving drive for employees in the federal workforce and is the largest workplace giving campaign in the world. Through the contributions of nearly 150,000 civilian and military Federal employees, the campaign generated more that $67 million for over 500 national and international charities. To help heighten the affectiveness of the CFCNCA’s campaign materials for 2011, the CFC employed Brave One to collect, compile, and edit inspiring success stories from individuals whose lives have been changed for the better thanks to the funds generated by the CFC. Brave One reached out to and conducted interviews with dozens of individuals that have benefited from the generosity of federal workers. From disabled veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan receiving specially adapted homes, to Tsunami and Earthquake Victims gaining access to much-needed medical supplies, to our nation’s poor and homeless, Brave One recorded and preserved countless stories of hope from people whose lives were touched through the efforts of the Combined Federal Campaign.
